About the Playwright

Caroline Raine has been teaching Dramatic Arts to children from ages 5 - 18 since 1992. Her approach to directing has always been to work with and through the strengths and talents of young people - a script is always a starting point and can and should be developed during rehearsals to bring out the best in children and young adults.

“Theatre in schools is an opportunity for growth - it’s a platform for children to discover something about themselves. It’s less about showcasing ready-made stars and more about discovering the star-potential in each performer.”
